I am curious on the travel abroad programs at the academy. Can a cadet travel abroad and not be taking a foreign language major or minor for that country?
This is a bit misleading/outdated--there is no specific study abroad program for engineers, but you can still go if you have a foreign language minor/enough credits. It makes it very hard in other semesters. A couple friends in my (engineering) major ended up having to take 28 credits in a semester, which is absolutely insane. Validate, validate, validate classes if this is something you want to do.Yes. For example, https://www.westpoint.edu/academics...civil-and-mechanical-engineering/study-abroad . I'm sure there are programs like this for other majors as well.
Gotta compete with civilian schools I guess.I am curious on the travel abroad programs at the academy. Can a cadet travel abroad and not be taking a foreign language major or minor for that country?
Absolutely. I know two yuks from my area who are engineering majors and just got selected for SAP (Study Abroad Program).I am curious on the travel abroad programs at the academy. Can a cadet travel abroad and not be taking a foreign language major or minor for that country?
DS just came back from Germany. He is a double major with one of them being German. He left WP early September and stayed until late December. When he wasn't in class, he spent his free time exploring the country. Not sure but a semester abroad is more likely reserved for language majors.I am curious on the travel abroad programs at the academy.
