I recently found someone in my district who was offered an appointment and accepted, so I clearly didn’t win my congressional slate, which is the only nomination I received. I haven’t gotten the TWE as of now and I’m slightly surprised. I suppose my file hasn’t reached the committee yet. I’m very disappointed, but I have a solid plan B and will apply again next year if this does not work out. Anyone else in the same boat?

Many districts will end up with multiple appointments. If you have a strong application, no reason to let the other appointment get you down. Good luck! Still time for a lot of appointments to be made.

Do not give up all hope.
That appointee may have noms from other sources, such as Presidential, or JROTC, or ROTC as a college re-app. Their appointment may be charged to those authorities, and the slate is not yet resolved.
With a nom and if fully qualified, you are in the national pool, from which USMA can continue to fill out the class, per applicable policy.
Presumably, you applied for the VP nom. Someone gets those.

Be hopeful, tend your alternate plans, PT for stress management.

There are 3 people in my congressional district who have received appointments to USMA this year... don’t give up.

You have no way of knowing that the appointee from your district won the slate, unless the MOC or USMA admissions releases that information.

While it is possible that they won the slate, it is also possible they were appointed from another slate or another category of appointment - QA, AA, etc. Also, there is no limit on the number of candidates that can be appointed from a district.

Don't give up. In my congressional district, another candidate and I were both offered appointments to USAFA.

I am in about the same boat:/

My 2019 and a good friend of his who lived about three blocks away both were accepted ....keep your head up!

I'm in the same boat. I live in a very competitive district and know of at least 1 appointment. Just keep calm and trust the process. Also, I've been told that admissions have been very slow this year. I was told by admissions I would have heard back at the end of February early march at the latest. Just stay positive.
