Failing a class is never a good thing. You might ask if you can drop down to the non-AP level, since you aren't able to handle the course at an AP level. Better to do that and get a passing grade.
I cannot downgrade since it's a language class (It goes Latin I, II, III, AP, and V).

Can you retake it and replace the grade....maybe online this summer? Ask registrar how that would appear on your transcript.
No I cannot. It's an AP Class (a useless one, but it's still an AP Class); I cannot take it over the summer. Just not sure what to do because there really are no options, but its really not essential for anything.

You might want to check your options. I’m an AP French teacher and in my district, if kids pass test but fail class, a kid can overwrite the F. Secondly, take a look at this. You might be able to redo the semester. Again, check w registrar. https://www.ctd.northwestern.edu/program/advanced-placement-ap. There are likely other options, as well.

Apparently, it doesn't work like that. My school only lets us take online course through the providers that they authorize, none of which offer AP Courses in the summer.

My recommendation would be to study your A** off and take the AP test try to do your absolute best then explain in your application how you struggled immensely in the class and showed exemplary determination to still pass the AP test.
