Two athletes from my district have been appointed, one is a football player. Both got noms from my congressman. My MOC doesn't rank. Is West Point done with my district? Have my MOC's slots been filled? Are my only chances now on the NWL?

Thanks

No one knows. You have a Nom, that is the key. I have seen as many as 8 candidates appointed off one slate. Only one could be charged to the MOC, but others got off the NWL, Presidential, Supt, VP or even their senators. Hang in there, good luck.

Don't worry, a recruited athlete will not win the district and be charged against one of the MOC's vacancies - as long as the MOC knows not to give them a principal nomination or rank them near the top of a ranked slate. USMA works closely with MOC's to help them administer the process properly and fairly; it is unlikely that your MOC goofed.

This also assumes that the athletes in question are recruited athletes. Sometimes there is confusion about that aspect.
