I am unable to attend my interviews because I am out of the country. Does this mean it is impossible to receive a nomination?

Most arrange for Skype, conference call or FaceTime interviews when attendance is not possible, but they need to know ahead of time to make arrangements for the interview panel to call.

Well - if you had to have an excuse - being out of the country is a pretty good one.
As was said before, most will do a phone interview.
If they give you the option of a video conference (Skype or FaceTime) and you have the ability to reliably do that where you are, I would recommend that route. Good luck!

No. DS has been out of the country through whole application process and has received a Nomination from his Congressional Representative.
He did all three interviews over the phone.
