DODMERB portal status change from DQ to Waiver Requested was the way DD knew. Several weeks later she got a snail mail letter. Her LOA or USNA portal said nothing about a waiver. Submitted 4 rounds of AMI before the DQ and 4 rounds after. Waiver granted for USAFA. Waiting to hear for USNA.

Seems USAFA has been faster this year regarding waivers than USNA. Wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing? maybe due to all the technology change and COVID issues at USNA right now.

You may be comparing apples and oranges..two different Admissions programs and processes. USNA will automatically consider a waiver if the Candidate is deemed competitive for appointment; I don't know if Air Force considers all applicants. Also, keep in mind, there are differences in what Navy and Air Force may consider waiverable -every medical conditions is different.
