I have been "Under Waiver Review" since 10/7 and am wondering how can I find out what additional information needs to be sent from my medical records. I can't seem to find anything on my DODMERB account and haven't received any correspondence from any of the academies that requested the waiver. Any help would be appreciated!

I’ve been under waiver review since late august. Be patient, it’s out of your control now.

I understand the process takes time. One of my Admissions Officers suggested I get my medical records in ASAP. I am just unsure of how to know which injury I need the wavier for and which records to send. The code is broad ("pelvic region, thigh, lower leg, knee") and I have 2 old injuries in that area.

If nothing has been requested and posted to the DoDMERB website, there are no requirements. Patience :wiggle:

Relax. With my DS last cycle, his waiver was finally approved 15th April. These were the actual events leading to waiver approval. He was offered a USNA Foundation Scholarship. Upon contacting Admissions about the medical waiver, he was told that the waiver physician only comes in once a week to do medical waivers. I can only assume that my DS medical records was on his desk for his review after offered the Foundation Scholarship. Hope this helps.

@MullenLE - in a post under another thread you suggested that I google DoDMERB and look at the waiver process (thank you for that recommendation). I want to make sure I am not misinterpreting something - it appears as though one is automatically entered into the waiver portal if an issue is found during the physicals/eye exams. Am I interpreting this correctly? Thanks in advance

You may need to re-read the entire document.
Service Academies and National ROTC winners are automatically considered for medical waivers.
I won't address "campus based ROTC applicants here." :wiggle:

@MullenLE On my DODMERB account it just updated to "waiver denied" for one of the Academies that I was under waiver review for. I'm not sure what injury this was for and never had the opportunity to give my medical records to show I am fully cleared and have been running Cross Country and playing lacrosse. I never needed surgery or anything so I am kind of surprised. I've been awarded an AROTC 4 year scholarship for the first board. Is this the end for me or is there anything else I can do? I would appreciate any advice.

Sorry. “Waiver Denied” (USNA/USMA) in the DODMERB portal is followed by a rejection letter (email and postage mail).

@MullenLE My issue is with "Current deformities, disease, or chronic joint pain of pelvic region, thigh, lower leg, knee, ankle or foot". I will still send email with subj line hopefulapplicant26-Eyes-AROTC. Thank you.

Received and answered. Thx :wiggle:
