So I have a few random questions:

Will USCGA and/or USCG be wearing new ODU's (similar to Navy Type III)?

How many of each uniform are you issued at USCGA/USCG?

Does everyone in the USCGA/USCG wear the same uniform everyday? Or is it free to choose?

Thank you in advance!

First, in any "Command" (USCGA is a command), the CO has the authority to say who's wearing what uniform. This, of course is delegated. There are probably few times that Cadets will choose what uniform to wear. This is determined for them based on the season and what they are doing (watch, parade, classes, etc.). There will be lots of rules on this.

There has been no exact information as t when, but we will eventually be moving to the new uniform along with the rest of the Coast Guard. What has been said is that old uniforms will be allowed for continued use until no longer serviceable (or likely until some date a few years in the future).

How many uniforms we get varies based on uniform. Working uniforms? A lot, way more than we probably need. Dress uniforms, only one.

There is a prescribed uniform for each day. You wear that, unless there is some reason why you can't. For example, if it is a working uniform day but you have regimental duty, you wear a dress uniform. If it is a dress uniform day but you have some type of lab which requires a working uniform as a safety or practicality consideration, you may wear the working uniform.

I have a 4/C cadet at USCGA. As ekb1398 says above, they are issued both working and dress uniforms, and there is a prescribed uniform of the day, with exceptions as needed. As a 4/C, they are not allowed to wear civilian clothes, even when on liberty (they wear trop blues) or for working out (they have issued PT gear).
