Upgrade to 4 year on 3rd AROTC Board?

Greetings,
My son was awarded a 3 year ARTOC Scholarship on the 2nd board.
Few questions
1. is it possible to have a scholarship upgraded on the 3rd board when the results are released in Late March or so?
2. If so, how do they notify people of this? Does the status page change from 3 year to 4 year?
 
Happened to my DS last year. Don’t remember how he was notified. I know the portal was updated.. I seem to remember someone on this forum saying their DS or DD was upgraded and told him to check the portal.
 
Yes, this does happen. And another possibility is that the college may upgrade to 3 and 1/2 year or even 4 year once he begins the school year. Best wishes!
