Hi,i applied from Ghana in November 2015 but i received a normination confirmation Late January, and adding up to the requirements,I have completed everything except the SAT or ACT. It is very unfortunate that the next test date in Ghana for the SAT is on 7th May(because of the change of the SAT) and that of ACT is on 9th April. Is there anyway this is going to affect my application process? And if am unable to get into the Air Force Academy, am i guaranteed a chance in the Prep School?

I'm assuming that you know these forums are not in anyway officially affiliated with any of the Service Academies. So I would encourage you to contact admissions.

However, I am puzzled as to why if you submitted your application in November that you did not take the SAT before the end of January. Typically, there are test dates in November, December, and January which would have worked for this year's applicants. January would be the last date you could take the test for summer of that year admission. This year some people were allowed to take it in February due to the January date being canceled in some regions.

I would think that the most likely outcome is that you would have to wait until next year and reapply. This would include your having to seek the nomination again. You can start your application before summer so you needn't wait too long to resubmit.

As to the prep school, that is never a guarantee. It's at the discretion of the USAFA. However, they may have more flexibility there in terms of how they treat your application.

In any event, you should really contact admissions to discuss your personal situation and figure out what your options are at this point.

Are you applying for admissions for the class of 2020 which would enter the summer of 2016?

If so, that ship has sailed unless you are applying under an entirely unique set of circumstances.

Who and how were you nominated without submitting to your nomination source your ACT/SAT?

She appears to be an international applicant. Their process for gaining a nomination is determined by their country and most likely nothing like the process for U.S. citizens.

From the USAFA admissions website regarding foreign applicants:

Appointments
All required documents must be received by Academy Admissions by 31 March, however, your Defense Attaché Office may have an earlier deadline. Appointments to the Air Force Academy are awarded on a competitive basis and are made in April of each year.

End

So unless she has some special dispensation - the ship has sailed for her to be part of the class of USAFA2020 even as a foreign applicant

She will not be taking the SAT or ACT prior to the March 31 deadline.

........am i guaranteed a chance in the Prep School?

No (if you mean guaranteed a 'spot'), everyone who applies and meets the deadlines has a 'chance' until they get a TWE.

If you miss the application deadline you won't be considered for this upcoming class.
