Usafa CFA goals not met

Need to confirm the USAFA application deadline - it is different for everybody [4 months after you opened your file?]
As long as CFA is submitted before deadline you are OK [but try not to wait until last minute.]

I am no expert here, but the USAFA site says otherwise, when it comes to deadlines.

One of the first things required in the process is to submit a Pre-Candidate Questionnaire.
You may begin as early as March 1 of your Junior year of high school.
It must be completed by December 31st (according to the USAFA website). That's 9 months.
They suggest you get those nomination applications going quickly, because many/most of the deadlines are by the end of October.

The rest of the Airmen candidate kit related documents (after one becomes an "official candidate") must be received by the Academy no later than January 31st. That appears to include the CFA.

Again, just going by the website. Maybe I am reading it wrong?

I think there are some nuances that may not be clearly be spelled out by the site.

While the Pre-Candidate Questionaire opens as early as 01-Mar potential candidates are then essentially in a holding pattern until they are moved to a candidate status (on/after 01-Jul). Those moved to a candidate status early on the process will have rolling deadlines (typically four months) to complete the remainder of the application. Those moved to candidate status on/after 30-Sep will typically have a completion deadline of 31-Jan.

I hope this helps (and my memory serves correctly) - here's the link to the Application Cycle detail from the USAFA Admissions Site.

Note: the application deadline for each candidate should be indicated on their admissions portal status page.

Ah! Well that makes it much more clear. The rolling deadlines is not clear at all (at least to me) on the website. That must be why on the deadline, it says "Check your Portal".
I am slow, but I get it after a while. Thanks!
