MattyJ, I know how hard it is to wait. Hang in there. However, the USAFA timeline is very similar to many IVY League and other colleges unless one has applied to early action or early decision. Most, if not all, colleges have an acceptance deadline of May 1st. In March and April, many regular decision applicants will find out one way or the other from USAFA and universities/colleges. I happen to feel that the application process is very smooth, orderly and streamlined considering they can get up to 10,000 applications per year. The best way to handle the wait is for you to keep busy and for your DS/DD to stay healthy, keep working out and striving to be the best no matter what. Keep the faith, it will all work out.

One of the things you have to remember is that literally each and every candidate is looked at individually. Everything is taken into consideration. There is no quick, run an algorithm thing going on. Personally, I appreciate the care that SAs take in choosing their candidates. It may take a long time, but you know that they are leveling the playing field and giving each candidate a fair chance. It's not perfect, but they try.
 
What are the most recent appointment dates? Sounds like nothing since 2/19/16 is that right?

I notice there is a Wisconsin district 5 appointed. That's my same district, is it likely that my son will not be offered an appointment now because that's our same district?

It depends on the number of positions that MOC has available, how many they have nominated and if the same MOC nominated them.

Also if you search the threads an NWL exists that you can read more about.

He is not out yet unless he got communications saying he is out.

Doesn't mean any such thing. :) In AZ there 9 Representative & 2 Senators. That's probably around 11-15 appointees. We had 56 appointed last year. As you can see, you're still in the game.
