Oh boy, what's an NWL? Getting pretty hard to pass up these other opportunities when you feel like time is slipping away and there's really no feedback from usafa admissions. Tried calling liaison, MO contact and they all say call the liaison who says, they haven't reviewed your file yet...however, people are getting appointed since fall.

MattyJ - the NWL is the national wait list where all the candidates that have nominations but were not selected from their MOC slates. They will compete for the remaining spots for appointments.

The wait is difficult SO TRUE!!! This forum has been VERY helpful to me on getting information. Early appointments have gone out, but the majority of them go out looks like mid March through April and even all the way up through June.

Put NWL in the search bar at the top of the page and you should find more information. I am not sure I understand it completely yet myself. GoodLuck!

Just talked to a local parent last night. His DS received news of an appointment on Friday, March 4. I don't believe they are on the forum (yet) so not sure if they will report anything on this thread. We are in OH District 6.
 
Looking at last year this Friday and next week (right before spring break) we're major times for offers ;)

If it makes any difference, my counselor said in an email on 3 Mar 2016 (last Thursday) that "we will put the class together next week, everyone should know by mid-April." I certainly hope this means some appointments will come out tomorrow!
 
If my MOC usually makes calls to appointees (at least, I think he does...I got one for USMA) and I have not received a call yet, is it reasonable to infer that I will not be hearing from USAFA this week? Any thoughts?
 
Hey all! I'm new to SAF and joined because I too am anxiously awaiting to hear if I've been offered an appointment. Does anyone know if the admissions board announces all appointees from a certain state at the same time? For example, I'm IL-12. Would all candidates from there hear around the same time?

In the same boat. There's still tomorrow and Saturday! I don't think my MOC staffer is in the office on Saturdays, so that potentially could mean an appt on a Sat but no call. If there's nothing tomorrow, maybe it's another week of waiting :(
 
Does not look like anything happened today! DD is sure antsy...Maybe I should give her some cleaning chores that will spread out over the next week or so.
