This is a quote from last year's appointment thread. Since there is no news of appointments thus far this morning, I'm guessing we will hear of news first thing tomorrow morning. Keep praying! Keep the hope!

The post that LesakUSAFA quoted was simply answering an earlier post in the thread by usafah.

So, since there are 109 appointments posted and there are 403 posts in this thread, I should move close to 300 posts from this thread because they don't conform to what you think this thread should be used for?

As well, It would be beneficial to move the thread re nominations because it will be more helpful as a separate thread and title, not buried in this one. A lot of folks may just search/view titles... It'll get more response that way. I think that was the point.

The thread is about this years appointees and those who are seeking it. If I am wrong inform me, but shouldn't others seeking next years appointments (especially nominations) be moved to another threat? It seems off topic.

If there is a post that you feel is inappropriate, then there is a little button at the bottom of every post that says "Report". If you click that, you can let a moderator know why you feel that a post is wrong.

My point is that it is not your function to tell another poster that their post needs to be moved. That is what there are moderators for on this site.

While I am discussing this, I think it's a good time to remind everyone here that the 5 moderators and one administrator who run this site do much more than yell at posters who get out of line. There is much work that is done in the background here to keep this site functioning and on track. All of the mods have other jobs (some of us more than one!), yet we spend from 10-30 hours each per week here reading posts, answering PMs, fighting spam, checking reported posts, and doing all the things that keep this site a good resource. And, none of us get paid to do it. Please keep that in mind before you go complaining that a single post doesn't seem to be in the right place.

BTW, thank you Stealth and all the other mods for what you do. I know all of us really do appreciate it, even though at times it does not seem like it.:)
 
I haven't seen many appointments from PA. I am a candidate from PA still waiting to hear back, so I guess not much for PA is a good thing. Am I wrong?

It's likely that appointments have already been offered in PA, but not listed on this forum.

I know three people that have been offered appointments from PA but that doesn't mean you still won't get one! Best of luck
 
I counted a few from VA. However, my DS is still in the game. Keep the faith and think positive. Good luck to all those who are still waiting. :wink:
