So what are these unpublished minimums? Honestly I thought once you were at candidate status you were eligible to be considered for an appointment? Maybe I am wrong. Of course I know they prefer higher scores than the minimum and every candidate should strive to be perfect score. I read these forums. Just confusing. ..
Son at 1400 still waiting.
So does that mean Im out? I got a 580 reading 680 math.
It is important to remember it is the whole person and the formula may not be obvious to any of us...actually obviously is not...you are not out until you are out. I currently have a cadet and he has friends that were accepted in late April and well into May My motto "never pray for patience, or you will surely be tested". Best of luck to everyone! So does that mean Im out? I got a 580 reading 680 math.
@sportsfanWait so my question is, if it might take that long should I go ahead and accept plan B just in case or??
Very true losing a few hundred bucks is nothing compared to getting what? Like 400k? Haha Thank you. I think I will go ahead and do that.@sportsfan
Noone can tell you what to do, but.... DS has accepted Plan B offer and we're rolling that way. Meaning setting up financial aid documents, but not signing any final loan docs or paying deposit till 15th passes.
But even if you do all that and come May 1st you get a pleasant surprise email of USAFA acceptance, then you call Plan B school and tell them your good news. And don't fund any loans and ask for deposit to be refunded. If they refuse to refund deposit, then you smile and say OK because I'd rather loose a few hundred buck and have DS go to USAFA!!!

Yeah this is becoming arduous, no word from Dodmerb or USAFA, just deny us already. So we can go on with life. Kind of concerned that this is the way the AF does business now. Im a AF vet, I think I can say that.

I understand there is lots of angst and anxiety.. But, this process is not intended to be simple. For a good reason, it is complicated. Those of us that have been lucky enough to live a little while in this country can attest, all that is good, is worth waiting for..
If this were easy, everyone could do it.. Part of this process for my son, is learning to wait and still balance his life not knowing if he is in or out..
There is no doubt, we want to know now!! But, the process and anticipation is what makes it special as well!
