You may want to check with USAFA regarding foreign travel if an appointment is forthcoming. There are posts in this forum about that situation.

It appears we, too, are in the same boat! This is my first leaving home. DS is also set on USAFA; a solid candidate but I’m incredibly nervous as I’m not sure “solid” will be enough. Accepted to Embry-Riddle and a few other aero schools... has a spot on a wrestling team here at a private college about an hour and a half from home- so he has options..... he sends me the daily “no email no news” text every morning and I reply that’s still good news. I don’t think he is amused.

Plan B, C and D are ready to go; but still hoping for that offer. Hopefully the next two weeks will bring joyous news for all of us. We are doing the spring break cruise as a last minute reprieve and time with our two oldest boys.....

Just trying to enjoy these last few senior moments with as few as tears as possible

That's awesome! I see others are posting that more offers went out today. That coincides with previous year's March floodgate so maybe it's the start for this year. PM me WHEN you get the offer, I want to congratulate you all. Or maybe they'll be going to Embry Riddle! Either way!

Also, you may have noticed another poster suggesting I check out rules for foreign travel. If your cruise takes you to a foreign port, you may wish to gather the info needed for reporting for a security clearance background check later and maybe make a call to his USAFA counselor to be sure all the bases are covered. What lists are you describing. The numbers on the self report list are still quite low compared to historical numbers.

Most appointments come out during the month of March if I recall correctly. I don’t think they’re done, or at least I sure hope they aren’t!

I suppose it's possible, but since most appointments are said to be offered in March with more in April it's more likely that we haven't seen the bulk of them happen yet. Hard to say.

Last year my DS got a call from MOS late on Sunday, March 10th. It was completely unexpected! But I know some just see an update on their portal.

I believe that the 10% rule is outdated on this forum. For 2023 we had over 15% of appointments listed and the number of members continues to grow.

So, do you agree that they're done notifying MOCs? I'm confused. Looks like only one person has listed for March which should be perhaps the biggest month?

I brought my DS on an AFA visit on 2/24. I was able to talk to an admissions officer after the initial presentation, and before the tour. She mentioned that they were going to be busy over the next 2 weeks (week of 2/24 and 3/2) making decisions on appointments. Considering this information, I would expect a large amount of candidates getting a notification of appointment soon. Like many of you, we're waiting... And staying optimistic.. Good luck to everyone.
