I want to attend USAFA, but I really want to be in the forensic team as well. How would I go about getting in to the team?

You get into USAFA, make it through basic, get on top of your responsibilities, then show up and say you want on the least that's how it was when I was there

I am currently on the forensics team actually. It's great to here interest about the team! To join the team survive basic (very doable) and watch for an email regarding tryouts. Usually in the first two or three weeks you'll hear something. Then just come to tryouts (it's about three days of voluntary attendance but missing one day disqualifies you). If you try your best, show improvement, and are dedicated you'll make it! If this is something you really want to do, talk to one of the upperclassmen. This shows interest and that you care.
Now to the more fun part of this response: the benefits. We actually just got back from a tounement today. It was in Pt. Loma, CA and we got third. The team is very talented but, more importantly, and awesome group of people. Since we were in Cali all weekend the freshmen got to wear civvies, the team could bond, you get free time to do what you want in San Diego, and the tournement overlooks the beach. As well, as an upperclassmen you'll have opportunities to travel to other countries for tournaments. If you want to know anything else or just talk about the process, pm me (if that's a thing on here. I actually made an account just to respond to this).
