USAFA Portal Updates - Timing Question?

Did some searches and found only a couple very old threads, though the rules may be the same. So far, it has been our observation that portal updates from USAFA never happen mid-day or at random times. For portal updates - they always seem to post in the early morning hours after an overnight refresh of the system and are accompanied by a notification email at the same time. Is this correct? It may seem trivial but it's a long haul....and it's a big deal to these applicants, knowing that the portal will only update at this particular time actually helps eliminate some unnecessary checking and anticipation....Thanks in advance for any insight.

Unless the system administrator logs on to this site, you will not have the kind of precision that you are looking for. I understand the anxiety - I went through it with my DS. This is not ordering from Amazon where you can track every detail at every step. Some days the portal would update quicker than others. Some times the portal would go down. In reality, it really is not a big deal when it updates. You will get the info you need when you need it. Just check the portal once a day or in the morning then later in the day. All deadlines he ever received were fair and he had plenty of time to complete.

If any of you postponed or put off the application process and are now worried about time...think about the irony.

For those of you just plain anxious...I feel your pain, but working Plan B and Plan C is the best use of your time. If you have all of your plans worked, enjoy your senior year as much as possible. My Doolie finally came home last night and commented how much softer his pillow is at home...so try to savor the life you have now.

So far, this year, it seems to update overnight, with an email directing you to the portal. That has been my DS experience, others may vary widely.....
