I drove through Colorado Springs the other day, and while I couldn't enter the Academy grounds, from the Highway I was surprised by the distances between the the Academy Campus, the Football Field, and the Air Field. At USNA, everything is so close and within walking distance , I was wondering if there was a bus shuttle service to get Cadets from the Campus to the Airfield. Also, do the Cadets march over to football games like Navy ? (It was certainly more fun marching through the streets if Annapolis than it would be marching on Academy Grounds !).

Yes - 10th Air Base Wing has a great logistics team complete with school and coach busses. There are regular routes from the Cadet Area to the airfield for the different airmanship programs. There is/was base taxi that you could call for transpo to the hospital for a specialist appointment. Beyond that, everything else is local to the Cadet Area. Transpo to the football stadium can be in POV or scheduled busses. Overall, getting around on base is easy. Getting off campus can be tricky but upperclassman are great about loaning cars to underclassman. You also have sponsor families and I suspect uber can get to a public part of campus like the athletic facilities.

Thanks ... it was a pretty neat area and beautiful location. I as in Denver for DD grad school graduation, and she wanted to see the USOC facilities (which were locked down for COVID still). USAFA is still locked down as well... I tried to sweet talk my way on base, but without Military ID they wouldn't let me in.
