USAFAPS AND NAPS

Thank you! He did send an email to admissions as well and cc'd his BGO. When he originally received notice of a "conditional offer" which has now been changed to "fully qualified" the portal updated and the email came thru the next day. So far no email, but you can bet that we will be "refreshing" the email as often as we were the Candidate Portal(s) 🤣
DD got the CIS portal change from CPR to NAPS Fully Qualified Offer, without an email notice, on April 3rd. Immediately Accepted. Next morning on the CIS a number of pdf documents appeared, which she filled out and uploaded back to CIS. One was a police record check which she had to physically go to the local government offices to have filled out and pay $10. Today, 8 days later, she received a very nice folder certificate from the USNA Admissions stating her appointment to NAPS.

NAPSTERS need to go to: https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/Accepted/NAPS.php and download the docs and instructions. Candidates to be in the Naval Reserve by June 30, 2023, documents sent to NAPS no later than July 10th and must bring 2 copies of said documents with them on July 25th.

Naval Reserve enlistment requires going to Navy recruitment office with original High School diploma. SSN card and birth cert along with other documents to be sworn in. Documents sent to NAPS will include notarized copy of Birth certificate. Two copies of documents to hand carry to Newport include notarized copy of birth cert and original SSN card. Also, must provide proof that candidate has started next years nomination applications prior to July 25th. Lots to do between now and send off.

Clear as mud?

This is GREAT thank you! I appreciate the heads up! I’m a planner and the waiting and guessing has been the hardest lol. But I’m also a military spouse so I should know better 🤣
