USAFASS Workshop Preference

The form just became available, and I have two questions:

1. Do the people who fill them out first get a better chance of getting their desired classes?
2. Why isn't the website letting me choose anything? There are 9 "scroll-down bars" and the only option it's allowing me to pick is "please select". I'm using Firefox as my browser, and using a Netbook which has a smaller screen, so does that have something to do with it? Or is it simply too early?

I had the same problem with not having any choices from the drop down menu and it worked when I simply refreshed.

MAybe try using internet explorer? my best guess on the hours is that we have 3 full days of sessions (6 hour days) so, when you choose your nine, they will drop and place sessions so that one is in the AM and one in the PM. there is one 6 hour (full day) class, and multiple 1.5 hours to fill in any empty slots in your day. hopefully that helped.

I went last year and the way the classes were set up is we had two classes a day for 2 days. If I remember correctly I filled out my request pretty early and two of my classes were ones I put pretty high on my list. (I was technically scheduled for 3 but something weird happened with the last one.)

Thanks, everyone, for replying. Luckily, I tried again just a while ago and it works, so it was probably because the webpage wasn't fully ready yet. Anybody know if classes you take can have any weight at all on your application?

Just put my preference in and it worked fine, but yesterday it wouldn't work at all.
