Ive looked on amazon and didn't see anything that wanst aimed at 12 year old kids. Can anyone Recommend anything? Also I am interested in personal narrative type books about life in the coast guard and any literature on the barque Eagle. Also anything that is on the commandant's reading list for USCGA.

You might want to read a book called "Lucky Thirteen" by Ken Wiley
It is a personal account of one Coast Guardsman from WWII.
