USCGA Class of 2028 Class Profile

Some interesting numbers. Amazing that 502 are offered appointments with only 290 expected to accept.
 
The yield for this class is much lower than other years and one of the lowest female percent classes in a decade (33% vs 43% just 2 years ago with the class of 2028 presentions during application process stating they wanted it closer to 50% so way below their stated goals).

The class of 2028 applicants did not have any communication or reassurance regarding OFA during the entire application, visits to campus etc- completely hush hush. Probably is the safest campus to be at now with the scrutiny but it’s the coverup and not discussing it ever to this years class for an entire year for the application and visit process that was a turnoff for many to choose another academy or ROTC at a higher rate than other years in the past.

Not our experience for both my kids, the application process was very transparent and upfront.

What is OFA? Not in the acronym list.
