I went on a tour of USMA yesterday and my RC was not there. He was out sick. The other RC told me to reach out to him and ask the questions I have. To keep the communication open. So I did. And I got answers.
I asked about braces.
A. They have to be off by R-Day.
I asked if my slate had been determined yet.
A. Not yet.
I asked if my file was competitive and how I looked in my district?
A. I was told I am 'in the top 3 out of 11 in my district and we each have 2 nominations'.
My reason for sharing... Ask the questions. They want you to succeed. They will answer your questions. I was feeling so anxious waiting. This helped me relax and focus on just enjoying my senior year knowing my plan B/C/D are already in place and that I am in a good spot.
