All the LOE’s were pulled out too. Too controversial I guess. HahaNice job cleaning up this data. No joke. Somebody's a perfectionist!
I wholeheartedly agree with you but it would appear that the LOE topic elicits far too many strong opinions. However, I sure did see a lot of LOE's (for being "meaningless") in the list above before they were removed. It’s y’all’s forum but I thought the LOE info, if used by Admissions as a tool, is useful information.
It appears that we now have at least one appointment for the class of 2024, so it seems appropriate to add the self-reporting appointment thread.
HOW TO ADD A NAME: This is self-reporting, self-updating and DIY. Mods don't update the list (kindly posters occasionally do, but the burden falls on posters). Please copy the most recent list, paste into new post, add a number, enter your information in a similar format, post.
FORMAT:
xxnumber) SAF forum name / Self, DD, DS / LOA or No LOA / Date Notified of Appointment / Accepted, Declined, or Undecided / State / Nomination Source(s) / Direct Appointment, Prep School, College Re-Applicant, Etc. (items that are perennial topics)
SAMPLE:
1) GoArmy2024 / Self / LOA / 24-Oct-2018 / Accepted / NY / Congressional, Senatorial / Direct Appointment
I believe we are getting away from the original point of this thread and perhaps should refer back to the requested format for this post.
Congratulations to all USMA 2024 Appointments!
Thank you love the graph!!There have been a lot of USMA appointments coming through...CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!!!! I've added a couple of items to the chart to include showing LOA/LOE/No LOA to the chart.

^^^Hate to go 'Full Professor' on the creator of the graph, which is a great initiative. It might be more useful if each state was mentioned once on the x-axis and the bars were three colors for 'LOA' 'LOE' or 'Neither'--so that people could track the number of appointments from their state in total.
Also, there are some states that may never be represented in SAF's self-report format. Some states will only welcome 1 or 2 new cadets a year. For #3's R-Day, there was a map of the US with a yellow dot on the hometown of each member of the class. Some states (ND or SD) had a single dot. (I took a picture of that map. If I find it, I will post it.) In the end, it does not matter what lead to the appointment but rather that an appointment was given and accepted.

For #3's R-Day as we wended our way through the long line and finally approached Ike Hall, there was a map posted of the US with a yellow dot on the hometown of each member of the class. Some states (ND or SD) had a single dot, whereas parts of California, Texas, and the entire MD/DC/VA area were blobs of yellow. (I took a picture of that map. If I find it, I will post it.)
