I apologize for the lengthy post, however I need some information to understand my disposition with my West Point application. I was medically disqualified about a week ago before I went to my remedial eye examination. I had my eye examination yesterday (5FEB) and now I am waiting for DODMERB to get back to me. I received a letter in the mail that stated I was not medically qualified to attend USMA, however, if I where to obtain a slot that they would request a waiver. In that case how likely am I, with a current medical disqualification, to receive an appointment?
On a side note. I am a college re-applicant to USMA. I have four nominations to the academy, 4.0 GPA (College) 3.90 (HS), a passing CFA score, plenty of leadership & extracurriculars, College ROTC & HS JROTC and an average ACT score.
Any information that would help me understand this situation would be much appreciated. I will reply as soon as possible. Similarly, if this belongs in the DODMERB forum I will gladly delete it and move it there.
