USMAPS Remedial/Waiver

My son received a letter this week stating that he had an appointment to USMAPS as long as he got cleared thru DODMERB. About a week before the appointment letter came, we received a remedial request from DODMERB. My son had a labrum tear surgery in 2011. From what I have been reading, there is a good chance that he will be DQ'd. My question is, should I wait until he gets DQ'd, or is there something proactive I can do for the waiver process? The appointment letter says this has to be resolved by April 15th.

You may want to talk to the Dr. who did the surgery and have your son examined by him/her, if all is well and he is recovered fully I would have the Dr. write a letter attesting to that fact and send the letter to DoDMERB ASAP. Good Luck.
