The same thing happened to my DS. His portal was updated yesterday and BFE came today. He is thrilled with the USMAPS appointment! We are too!
 
Did your West Point Portal show that you offered an appointment to USMAPS before the BFE arrived in the mail?
 
Thought I would add to the forum that my DS was 3Qd with 2 noms (Senator, Congressmen) and was offered USMAPS. So unless they DQd him behind the scenes at a later date (and without our knowledge) you CAN be appointed USMAPS and be triple qualified. We are from a highly competitive district in our State, maybe that played into their decision. Either way my son is honored to have the opportunity!!
 
Congratulations for your DS! It's interesting because my DD was told by her USMA RC that because she was 3Q'd and on the NWL, she didn't qualify for USMAPS, which she would have taken in a heartbeat if it have her that edge for 2022, but was eligible for an AOG Scholarship if chosen. We are also a highly competitive district.

And she has 3 noms.
 
DD was selected for USMAPS as well. Very excited! She noticed the portal change Sunday evening (Last checked the previous Thursday). No BFE yet.

Interesting...DD was also told by her RC that she was not eligible for USMAPS based on being 3Q'd. She has been offered AOG for civil prep.
 
Our DD was selected for USMAPS. She found out on the portal. No BFE in the mail, yet. Was told it's on the way. She is thrilled! So are we. She had 3 nominations. Congratulations to the others. See you on July 17th.

I received mine back in January and I am wondering still about USMAPS or VTech ROTC. I received a 4 year AROTC. Scholarship there and I have An EMS there as well.i talked with my Liasion and he told me to accept prep and go through the process again. I feel as if this is a great opportunity and I will make great friends in the process. I am so ready for prep and ready to get a head start on my leadership experiences

First, congratulations on both prep and ROTC scholarship. Were you 3Q'd? Trying to figure out how some RC's seem to be saying you have to be academically disqualified to get USMAPS but obviously you must have good scores academically to have received 4 year scholarship.

I have the academic strong points as well as received awaiting a waiver for vision. My CFA was done at academy during diversity outreach candidate visit weekend. My Admissions officer bluntly said my essays were crap ( I rushed like heck to try to finish them by nov 1st) and that they didn't match up with my act ( 30 English, 23 reading, 9 writing). He told me that he was a prepster and he enjoyed the opportunity. But honestly I thought My math classes were crapshoot, but when he said English, I kinda got elated cuz I felt that I wasn't completely crap[emoji1476][emoji23][emoji23]
 
My son also had 4 year ROTC scholarship to his top three choices. He was picked up in the first round last fall. Yes, I've heard that sometimes they use the writing score to disqualify someone for prep.

BFE came on Friday. Quite a bit of tasks to accomplish. One step at a time, one step at a time.
 
MY DS from TX24 received USMAPS offer last month with an April 5 deadline. He has accepted. Visited earlier this week. Very impressive campus and people. He is excited and I am very happy for him. Lots of paperwork to do but well worth it.
