USMMA Admissions Portal Now Open

The USMMA Admissions Portal for application is now open. In many cases, Senators and Congresspersons want candidates to have started an application to the Academy when they consider a nomination.
 
My DS is just getting this when he logs in? He’s tried all the troubleshooting tips. IMG_2315.jpeg

Two things, I see “If you already have a LOGIN.GOV account, log in at https://secure.login.gov and ensure that the email address with which you will register in the USMMA Applicant Portal is associated with your existing LOGIN.GOV account.”

How about the comments near the bottom of the previous link in bold red (see below)?
Important Note: after you create your USMMA Applicant Portal account you should close your web browser and clear your cache before clicking the link to access the portal. If you get an error message after clearing your cache and trying again, please use a different web browser or a private browser window.

He’s done all that multiple time on multiple browsers and multiple computers. He finally said he’d try again Monday 🤣🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Good idea! Speaking from experience, it will not be the first time a government website is inoperative on a weekend without any decent notification to the user.
 
Is anyone still getting ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE errors or Close browser errors? I am still getting both and UCAS hasn't responded to the tickets of anyone I know.
 
Has anyone been able to access this? We have done ALL OF THE THINGS haha. Not working
 
Very frustrating. These issues have happened in every admissions cycle at USMMA since at least 2007 when my DS was applying. They just cannot get it right. I am embarrassed when I recommend KP and the candidates cannot even apply.

well that makes me feel better and sort of adds to the nostalgia of applying to the academy in a way:). One day I hope to be a KP Mom too! DS is not fazed and says he will try back later after he finishes pressure washing the stairs!
 
Portal seems to be working, I will credit to the staff member at USMMA who literally worked the whole day with DS trying to get his portal and application to function properly. It seemed to be a technical issues of unknown origin but the person assisting was ever so kind and helpful.

I just logged into the portal around 2 days ago. It's a little frustrating but I had to fill out the .GOV login, then link up the email I used on the initial form on the USMMA website and finally click on the link that they provided for the actual portal. (Make sure you clear cache and passwords etc.)
 
Is anyone having issues with a permenant 20 minute inactivity time out? I've done everything I can to remedy this. Reached out and am awaiting response from UCASHelp
