Usmma iphone app

The USAFA has a really nice app for the Iphone. It covers weather, news, athletics, etc. Isn't there some really smart IT guy at KP that can come up with an app?

You must not have seen what the USMMA IT dept is "capable" of yet

Take a look at the usmma homepage. Do you think a school that has that mess as their first impression among thousands of students is capable of an iphone app?

That is a great idea though, I bet an intrepid midshipman could knock that out!

It is a shame that the website isn't more up to date. This is the first impression of the school when looking online. Not very impressive Hopefully, it will get better with time!!

Well, folks, it has a lot to do with money as well. It would be great if some calls would "adopt" the website as a class project, set up a donations program, and help the academy update the site. I'd donate if it were possible to set up a special fund for that purpose. Where I work we just updated our web site (it was as bad, if not worse than KP's), and are about to launch the revised edition. It costs, but it really isn't THAT bad considering the benefits.

Any class out there willing to take this on? Can something like this actually be done with "special" and dedicated donations?

The parents' page on the USMMA site has both misspellings and grammatically incorrect sentences. Can't someone in the English department check these things before they are posted on the school's website?
