USNA 2020-still hopeful

Hey y'all,
I'm new to this forum, so I think I'll introduce myself: I am an official candidate for the USNA, and have already received my (Texas) congressional nomination, though am still waiting for appointment or an offer to attend NAPS. I have several questions before I hear back:
1) Someone in my school has already heard back concerning NAPS, is this bad news for me?
2) Is the fact that I am hearing back so late indicative of anything good or bad? (I completed my application in mid-October)
3) Will I hear back from NAPS at the same time as when I hear back about whether or not I have received an appointment?

2. Is not reflective either way.
3. Yes...essentially you are only considered for one -- either an appointment, NAPS, or neither.
