Please advise regarding HS transcript and SAT scores appearance in "My Progress". In the additional requirements section, they are not reflected at all with a large X, but the scores were sent and received and all of them are actually listed below the additional requirements section. I will be asking the school if the transcript was sent. It is very strange.

The scores will show up below before they show the date and time received and the check mark. I don’t know why but the same thing happened to me. Give it a week or so and it should show.

The scores for the last SAT test officially appeared on the portal more than 2 weeks ago.... will wait

Ours scores/transcripts/academic profile have been in for over 6 weeks and still are not verified, etc. Though they show received, they have not been validated.

Be patient. The one thing that they told us at CVW (Candidate Visit Weekend) was that the board sits through and tries to review as many applications as they can every Thursday.

You might get a huge portal update. I do every few weeks, heck I got one a few hours ago. They are sooooo many people opening applications. It's only the beginning of appointment season, be as patient as you can.

Very good advice to be patient.

There are also many steps after Board review with regard to other elements of the candidate’s application. No one jumps up as soon as the Board finishes a record review to run to a computer to pump out massive bursts of offers of appointment. There are many groups working in concert to develop and build out the class. It’s an art and a science with with parallel and intersecting steps and processes and decisions and approvals and reviews and adjustments. Tetris to the 10th power.

I absolutely understand. My only issue is the call for the medical examination as it seems to me that the application is 70% completed ( including CFA and all recommendations ). The HS transcript was sent by the school a long time ago.

I would email your BGO and admissions and ask if they've received it. In regards to DoDmerb, I think USNA sends you when you're 100% complete. Although not 100% sure.

Or just pop up on the Admissions live chat with your candidate number handy. The Admissions rep can easily check your status right then. Go to the Admissions page, look for the chatbot word balloon, click it, and it will either be live or tell you when the next live session is. They’ve been doing daily 12-1 EST recently.

Just checked the website, it's these next few days from 12-1pm EST. Definitely go and ask there!

Qualifying Medical Examination: Once you become an official candidate to the Naval Academy, and 50% of your application is complete, your name will then be sent to the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DoDMERB). You will be notified by Concord (DoDMERB contractor) concerning scheduling your medical examination. If you have not been contacted by Concord within 30 days of submitting your fifth document, please contact the Admissions Medical Technician at 410-293-1817 or admissionsmedical@usna.edu. Your medical exam will suffice for all service academies or ROTC programs you may be considering.

I believe there is a change to what you have posted. USNA now requires your application to be 100% complete before you will be referred to DODMERB.

"New for this year, USNA will not schedule you for a DODMERB physical until 100% of your application package is complete. This means your candidate questionnaire, official SAT / ACT scores, official transcript, teacher recommendations, etc. It is not enough that you have identified to USNA the teachers who will be evaluating you -- their evaluations must be received by USNA. This is a change from the past, when 50% of the packet was sufficient to trigger a DODMBERB invite."
