I've seen many threads on here (including some from moderators) refer to I-Day 2020 for the Class of 2024 on 7/1/20. But the calendar on USNA's website says 6/25. https://www.usna.edu/Academics/_files/documents/calendars/210x.pdf. Which is correct? Thank you!

I have never seen it here as 7/1. But I would go with what USNA said.

You see the *tentative* in red at the top? And that calendar has the “update” label. These calendars will not lock down until the New Year, as the holiday leave period for staff has started.

I suspect June 25 is correct, as the dates/days jiggle around a bit each year from early in last week of June to the first couple of days in July. Like all academic institution calendars, everything works backward from the Graduation Date each year - Reform of the Brigade at each semester start, academic term class start and stop days, exam periods, Plebe Summer start, summer training blocks, PPW, 2/c Parents Weekend, etc.

Normally, not a huge deal or big difference between 6/25 and 7/1, except that 6/26 is release date of new Top Gun movie, and DS really wants to see it before I-DAY....

My son’s calendar says the 25th. He said it could be either though. I would confirm with USNA before I booked a hotel.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Plebe summer is 50 days, right? If I-Day is July 1st, counting 50 days into the future is August 19th. According to the tentative schedule, the Fall term begins August 17th. Unless they are pushing out the Fall term to start a week later (August 24th), I would think I-Day is June 25th as the tentative schedule indicates.

@NickMomSince1997 You probably can not get access unless it is granted to you by USNA. I am sure many will chime in with their speculation yet this is official info from USNA. As I have stated before this is subject to change.
