USNA Class of 2027 Waiting and Speculating

My USNA App Status has remained "Complete-Pending Review" for the past 4+ months now with everything being submitted. I was wondering if there supposed to be additional status changes before I heard from admissions. I spoke briefly with other candidates and they were all still waiting to hear back as well. I'm wondering how long we will have to wait.
This is what the process is to be:

1/ You should receive an email alerting you to a change of status in the portal-however, but not always, my DD did not get an alert email

2/ Status change from Compete - Pending Reveiw (CPR) to:

3/ You have been offered: USNA - Fully Qualified Offer To USNA

OR

4/ You have been offered: NAPS - Fully Qualified Offer To NAPS

OR

5/ You have been offered: Foundation Prep - Fully Qualified Offer To Foundation Prep

OR

6/ Waitlisted

OR

7/ Turned Down

For 3 through 6 there is a Decline button and an Accept button to respond to. Obviously, you should ACCEPT

Thank you for this explanation! I was just wondering last night (and searching the forum) how the portal status states an appointment offer 👍

I have an X in my USNA portal under medical exam but I have a CPR. I also have a nomination and a green light under CFA. I'm waiting for a medical waiver for 1 DQ from DoDMERB. My doctor has written a letter stating I have never been diagnosed with this DQ and that letter has been included in my DoDMERB file. How will I be notified after I receive a medical waiver? I need the medical waiver for USNA and for NROTC N 4 year scholarship.

DD is in same proverbial boat - CPR, Medical X, 1 DQ for old Medical issue. We are assuming at this point that unless she was notified of a waiver then one is not being considered. She is moving on from this years USNA cycle and focusing on other options as it seems the most realistic outcome.

The waiver status will show up in your portal. You may receive an email telling you if a portal update.

Our DS was in the same situation. He emailed admissions medical at USNA last week and asked if they could tell him where he was in the process. They told him that he was in the queue to be reviewed for a waiver. A few days later (yesterday) his status changed in DoDMERB to “awaiting receipt of remedial” then he received an email from DoDMERB to check his portal for the information requested. This morning he received an email from a health technician from USNA also notifying him that they needed AMI.

He had been DQ’d since January so it has been a slow process.

Our DS just got the email yesterday requesting AMI…so they are still working on them.

Does the number after the nomination source mean anything? For example, on my DS’s portal page it says his nomination source is Senator 1.

The number represents what district you’re in within your state

Another one here, my DS is in the exact same situation. Except his DQ isn’t old and a little complicated but I think his will come down to how they code it.

My DD had a DODMERB requested AMI back in January. I was so happy when that got cleared up. I hope everything gets cleared up for you guys soon!

I’ve been lurking around on this thread for quite some time now. Y’all have certainly made the wait a little more bearable. I just received an update to my CFA - after 3 months of the scores being listed as “Qualified” they have now switched to “Rejected”. I knew my scores were borderline but it’s very disheartening to receive this news after thinking I was still eligible for an appointment for so long.

I was curious whether I would still be eligible for NAPS or Foundation, or if this is for sure the end of the line for this year’s cycle.
