USNA Class of 2027 Waiting and Speculating

I really hope that this is the reasoning behind the change. However, my application (virtually guaranteed TWE due to rejected CFA) also had the “withdraw” button removed. Maybe the button getting removed means incoming news, positive or negative?
Do you have to pass the CFA for NAPS or Foundation? I have no experience with this process but logically I would think that if you were going to get a TWE for a failed CFA that would’ve happened several weeks ago after the CFA deadline.

I know, right? I keep checking my DS portal to make sure I still see the green "qualified" button! I feel like I'm slowly creeping upwards toward the vertex of a rollercoaster, and I don't know if I'll be crying or laughing as I go down the other side ...
Just thinking out loud. If you were getting rejected why would they remove the withdraw button? By that reasoning, maybe it means there was positive movement on these applications and you would now be on the accept or decline portion.
As someone familiar with applicant tracking systems and who works for a company that competes against Salesforce, my guess is they are archiving the applications now.

The decisions are made and ready to go. No guess whether this is positive or negative.

Anyone who has received an appointment want to weigh in if their own withdraw button was removed once a decision was granted?

Actually @Navy2025 just posted this image yesterday:

When we went to CVW an admissions panel told us parents that NAPS is for candidates that they really want but need to work on academics, physical fitness or some aspect of their candidacy.

i think you should ask admissions if that is a mistake, because it’s a little unfair that you were qualified then became unqualified yk

I completely agree, especially if you have had issues with your CFA submission before. Maybe your candidate portal simply made another mistake?

My sons “withdraw” button is also gone. Do you guys think maybe since it is so close to the 15th and having the class pretty much formulated so to speak? Basically it’s too late to “withdraw.” 🤷‍♀️ (trying to think rationally)

the thing is if it is unqualified it will show up the moment they put it in. i understand that it in the beginning the correct status was showing up incorrectly but when you get a failed score it would show up immediately - coming from someone who had their first failed cfa last years application.

i think it’s just that they have finished reviewing your application. so you can’t withdraw

Totally agree - @texas27 it wouldn't hurt to reach out to your AO and get some clarification, especially because this seems like such a unique circumstance

hi i just wanted to ask, has anybody's withdraw button from the cpr status been removed?

Yes but I'm not sure when it disappeared. I think a few days ago I noticed it. I'm not sure if it means anything. Maybe because it's so close to the end, they are no longer allowing the withdraw option.

DD’s withdraw button is also gone, for which I’m somewhat thankful because I had an irrational fear of her accidentally selecting it when checking the portal from her tiny phone screen. Now I’m irrationally asking her to be sure her CFA is still “qualified” since the previous post about that changing. Oh the joys of the process… so thankful to have all of you by my side!

Same!!! As to both!! LOL!!!

I asked my DD about the withdrawal button and she said, “Dad, chill out, there’s six days left.” Sometimes she’s annoyingly wiser than me. 🤪🤪
Luckily, my DS's Appointment came in February. But I was a hot mess. (I've posted this before so if you're reading and believe it to be redundant, it is!) I asked my son, "How can you be so calm about this!???"...He said, "Mom, that's why I'm going to be an Officer." Touche.

I really hope that is the case! I’ve seen that in past years, lots of decisions are released the Monday of the April cutoff week. Fingers crossed!
With this in mind, DD's portal typically updates at 1AM Eastern time, which is actually 11pm where we are (Mountain Time)- so in theory maybe an update at 11pm this evening? eeeek! This week will be a wild ride for sure! So grateful she has a light week with a golf tournament for her school team and teacher work days at the end of the week!
