In the same boat with my DS. Except I don’t check it. And I’m trying not to ask anymore. Part of me has accepted the TWE but trying to remain hopeful.

I've stopped asking DS for an update. I'm preparing myself for TWE although part of me would like the BFE to come fast!!

I say a little prayer and close my eyes as I click login. When I open them there is a sigh of relief that it hasn't changed, but I know it is coming.

on a side note... plan B schools... anyone else hearing that they are still deciding scholarships? We've had 2 schools tell us they will have them in the next few weeks. that seems crazy to me....

Awesome! Sounds like a blast! My cousin is a standup comedian who is known for his clean comedy and just got inducted into Opryland last month. We’re so proud of him! And even when we don‘t go see a show we LOVE the Gaylord Opryland Resort. So much fun and the plants are .

That's awesome!!! I am so sad to miss out on this but I guess it's what we do for our kids....

I believe the page gets updated when we sign into the portal. It doesn’t mean anything. For ex. If you login to the portal to check the status 4/10 at 8am, and log back again at 9pm. It will show you last updated 4/10 8am (the time you login ).

The Last Updated shows the last time you logged into the portal.

Do you mean for ROTC scholarships? We were told last and final round notifications went out a couple of weeks ago when DD got her call for NROTC Marine Corps option. Maybe the hold up is assigning schools? Not sure. I know DD’s high school is still awarding other (not ROTC) scholarships.

no these are regular merit or departmental scholarships from the schools themselves.

I believe they are still deciding on scholarships. DD turned in her app at the last possible moment - January I think?- and got a very urgent call on Friday asking her to make a minor correction to a form (needed to initial next to something but she had checked it). I read somewhere else on here (maybe on the rotc page) that there was another round of reviews that started yesterday and that all final notifications were likely going out by midweek next week.

Time to find out the email of my new congressman’s office, get ready to obliterate another CFA, and move forward. The B&G interview was fun, and I’m excited for another.

Wish I could know who received the appointment from my district, I bet they are a heck of an amazing person.

I’d say Best of Luck but I don’t think you need it; you’ve got the right idea that work is all the luck you’ll ever need!!! That, and a good “always moving forward in the direction of your dreams” attitude (and you got that too!!

Oh in that case then yes, MANY scholarships are still being decided and awarded. DD‘s counselor just sent out a list today of a few more that can be applied to and she gets emails from her plan B school regularly about available scholarships.

cool thanks, just seemed odd. my Dd's older sister was a one and done based on her school choice. we were all set by March. this is killing me

FWIW: The call I received from our MOC showed up as U.S. CAPITOL on my iPhone.

Thanks for all this scholarship info! My DS just slid in for NROTC too and got into his first choice but we haven’t heard a peep from NROTC! I made him check just now oh my! I like to chant his name and hope admissions is hearing me!!! I’ve also considered looking for an auspicious looking crossroads! Any other ideas folks? It’s getting desperate! Keep the faith and the hope! Good luck to all!

I just got off the phone with admissions, and they confirmed that my CFA had been disqualified due to the run time. No word on why it was rejected so late in the game.

Still super excited for the new Plan A - I’ll be attending OU, hoping to be able to participate in NROTC as a college programmer.

They called my daughters number yesterday. That number is only associated with her, not with the family. We have a landline for family business. Why would they call her for townhall meeting or solicitation?
