Congrats, and the positive attitude is also a plus!Turned down. Accepting my appointment to USMA later today. Congratulations to everyone that got in.
I'm guessing that this is what happens every year...lots of nervous hope and then a lot of quick disappointment. Then the march continues for those who made it. I want to wish all of you who are continuing the march the best of luck! And I want to thank the long time members who have helped guide and inform us through this process. I very much appreciate the grace you show in your work here.DD turned down here too.... oh well onward and upward!!!
The wait is excruciatingI am still CPR!
I know that you will have a wonderful Naval career and that God has a plan for you . I sincerely wish you the absolute best in all your future endeavors!I got a TWE. No email yet, but I'm sure one will follow shortly. I'm disappointed, but this means I can graduate in three semesters after attending OCS next summer. Best of luck y'all.
This was my son last year too! District 3… he had Sarbanes’ nom and the presidential… got waitlisted on April 15th and then the next day he was offered the foundation program. now we are impatiently waiting for confirmation of his appointmentWe are 3rd District in MD as well.
My kid didn't get a nom from Sarbanes, Van Hollen, or Cardin. But got an NROTC one.
He didn't find out until May last year from the waitlist.
That was my kid in his first cycle, with an LOA. Only thing not satisfied was the nom.Interestingly, my son doesn’t have a nomination (VERY competitive state) but is still CPR.
DS still CPRIs anyone still CPR?
Yes the amount of applicants from MD is way higher then anywhere else. I think there are a lot of military families and also the children are more aware of the Academy since it’s in their backyard.

THANK YOU!! He has visited twice and totally felt like he could see himself there. He is excited he can still achieve his ultimate goal of naval service AND he loves the school. Not gonna feel bad today!Congrats on the NROTC at GWU!
That was my son’s plan B, too. There are some amazing govt/military opportunities and connections at that school. All the best!
