I got the TWE last year, did NROTC and enrolled in plebe courses (calc, chem, etc) and it all paid off. A parent kindly shared the USNA Waitlist PDF over in the waitlist thread. Not sure if it’s similar to the NAPS -Waitlist pdf.

That is a direct appointment waitlist letter. I believe the NAPS waitlist letter is different. Thank you for sharing though, I know a lot of people who were waitlisted yesterday may still need that letter! It’s strange that they disappear after accept/decline is input.

Nope. I think it’s similar to nomination calls. Some candidates opened portals to find a nom, some got a MOC call to share the good news. I believe an appointment can go the same way, I’m just wishing for the best possible scenario.

At this point the CPR candidates can get a phone call, or a portal update of appointment, turn down, waitlist, NAPs, NAPS-waitlist, Foundations, or Foundation-waitlist. I think that covers the options.

Did you get a pdf uploaded to your portal with FAQs when you got your WL offer? I got USNA WL and it came with a pdf that said waitlist decisions typically come out starting around the second week of May all the way until mid June. Not sure if that's the case for NAPS.

The letter that comes with NAPS-Waitlist stated that anyone who is waitlisted for prep school can hear as early as the second week of May and as late as mid July. I am glad that you are happy with the NAPS Waitlist! I was very confused and hurt when I found out today. I didn’t even know it was an option and it seemed very random. I wasn’t expecting it at all! But I am still feeling USNA hopeful. Feel free to update the list and best of luck to you!
