I was told that the total of #1220 OFFERS ( so far) included NAPS and Foundation applicants. So, yes, they offer those first, then wait list. A few have already made it off of the waitlist. The math trend for last 3-5 years suggests that some more wait listers SHOULD get called, but there are no guarantees. I’m guessing that admissions has a pretty good idea right now of how many they need, since May 1 is in the rearview mirror. Based on what I’ve read and heard, wait listers might get a spurt of offers within the next few hours/ days/ two weeks.. after that, things should taper off quite a bit as the appointment roster is solidified. The spurt, becomes a very slow drip as admissions only has to account for a few stragglers (I.e., last minute cold feet, unforeseen medical DQs etc.). My son is on a WL for an ivy, the chances of that call are small, but they can call applicants any time from now until well past I-Day.. so in theory, some strong appointees could be on regular college WLs and change course before they are sworn in? My guess is odds of getting off WL are highest right now, until after the next batch of WL posters, after that, it’s probably a long shot. Of course, this is just my opinion.
