Hey everyone! As I always do, I'm curious as to what the naval academy's class schedule is like? I know USAFA's but thats it haha.
Looks pretty close to what it was 50 years ago but I don’t remember “company training time”Daily Schedule

Looking at the schedule, it looked like there are 6 class periods a day. Is this like "normal" universities where you will only have classes some periods, or do mids basically have class all day like in high school?Looks pretty close to what it was 50 years ago but I don’t remember “company training time”
Only classes some periods. 6 periods per day is a total of 30 per week and mids are not in class for all 30. Those are things like getting haircuts, homework and other personal admin. As an athlete, I preferred to not have class during 6th period so that I could prepare for practice so I tried to schedule myself that way.Looking at the schedule, it looked like there are 6 class periods a day. Ok cool, so it's like normal college in that respect then (just with a narrower window that classes can occur in)Only classes some periods. 6 periods per day is a total of 30 per week and mids are not in class for all 30. I think you need to change your name from "27hopeful" to just "navy27"I can offer a little more "behind the scenes" too:
As a plebe,

No class after lunch used to be call a Youngster Afternoon.
Back in the day of dinosaurs, a plebe’s schedule was pretty full stem to stern. Plebe (freshman year). year you would carry an 18 hour semester which worked out to be nearly every class period including some Saturday classes. Once you became a youngster (sophomore) you’d have more flexibility in developing your own class schedule as long as it supported getting the minimum hours to graduate. As another poster said, youngster afternoons (an afternoon with no classes) was a rare and treasured gift to yourself.Looking at the schedule, it looked like there are 6 class periods a day.
