USNA LOA

If it is of any help, I received an LOA for USNA on Friday, December 2 on the same day my nomination (from a congressman) showed up on my portal.

If it's helpful, I received a LOA from USNA on 11/18, application was complete on 10/20. Medical waiver granted, still pending nomination.

I have searched the forums and have not found an answer yet, so I thought this would be a good thread to post on. I received a LOA in mid-October. I also received a nomination on 28-Nov-16; however, my application still says my status is LOA. I have no required actions left to complete, so now am I just waiting for the admissions office to update my status to appointment?

I am in the same position! I should hear back from admissions or BGO within 1 or 2 days so I will post the response. The officer in admissions said she has never seen a candidate given an LOA with a nomination and all steps complete.

This usually happens due to timing. An LOA might have been decided on a week prior and just getting updated and/or the Nom didn't get entered yet. Also remember if you were notified of a nom that is not official for USNA. It must be received in the system and updated on your portal.

Patience. Hurry up and wait is a saying you will hear and learn to embrace throughout your military time. They will get your appointment out. Admissions only has so many people and tons to process. They will get to it, promise.
