Why was Orange chosen as the team color for UT?

So the fans don't have to change clothes. Go to the game on Saturday, hunt on Sunday and work for the highway department Monday through Friday.

Full disclosure-My grandfather played nose tackle for UT 1899-1901, before facemasks were introduced. His was the only position given a nose guard for protection. Besides him, both parents, two siblings and assorted aunts, uncles and cousins all attended UT.

It's SUCH a cool campus and it was a great atmosphere. Definitely the coolest place I've ever watched a CFB game.

Guess I just left with a sour taste in my mouth after everything that happened.
 
It's the 4th Saturday in October this year. We call it Tennessee week. The Viles come to town. My son and I met in B'Ham for this game four years ago. After Saturday they will be known as Fifteen-er-see.
