With George Santos' expulsion today, started to wonder, what happens to nominations in a district in which there is a congressional vacancy either due to retirement, expulsion or death?

My student in his district received a nomination from the district. All nomination work appears to done and the staff is still working too.

Hello Sir, When you say 'received', did it show up in the portal or did the student got notified by the MOC office? I'm from the same district and got a letter hand dropped in to our mailbox but not yet in the portal. Extremely worried abt it now. TIA

He received a letter too. He updated me a moment ago. The nomination has not appeared yet in his portal. But I'm sure it will work its way through the system for both of you. If you like, you may email your admissions counselors and attached the nomination letter. They can then verify that the SA has received your nomination.
