Does anyone know what shots and boosters need to be completed before the appointees start?

You will receive a large packet of information from Admissions which will have all the required shots. Also...do you have widsom teeth? if so get em out now! Also ifyou don't have a passport get the application in now. I believe you will also be required to have a TWIC card http://www.tsa.gov/what_we_do/layers/twic/index.shtm so you might as well get that started too.

There is a list of required immunizations in the 2012 Logging In booklet (p. 22) that is still posted on the KP webiste. The link is at the very bottom of the home page. We used the the 2011 instructions as a starting point for our daughter last year. There will be some changes, but it gives you an idea of what to expect.

I second kpmom2011, if your appointee doesn't have a passport, start the process immediately! And do look into the TWIC card. We didn't receive her packet until May, I think. To us, it seemed we had very little time to get everything together and we were glad we had been directed to the older version on the website.

TWIC Card

Recommend you start the TWIC process early if possible. It is inconvenient if you do not live close to a TSA port office. There aren't many in the middle of the country. The nearest to us is 180 miles (one way). You have to make two trips. One to have your son/daughter fingerprinted and picture taken as part of the enrollment process and the second to pick up the TWIC badge several weeks later. You have to personally pick up the credential....they won't mail it to you.

You are able to make appointments in advance on-line and you can pre-enroll your personal data, so the actual time in their office is only 15 minutes. They are only open Monday - Friday.

so far

Wisdom teeth out - done
Passport- done
TWIC - in process
will get list of shots and start working on that.

Thanks
