Verbal score?

Hi, I just wanted to make sure: is the verbal score asking for the English score or the reading score? Or somehow a combo?
Act wise

The ACT is split into four (4) parts; English, Math, Reading, and Science. Each part has a score of 1 to 36.
Generally, the "Verbal Score" is everything but Math.

Most colleges lump Science in with English and Reading to create the overall Verbal Score, so it is a composite/average of those three scores.

 

[Kierkegaard]

The Naval Academy uses only the English and Math sections. Reading and science are not factored in.
