It was just great to see this video even though our DS is 3C. I actually got fairly emotional seeing all the new plebes, just thinking about this time a year ago and to know that DS is still there doing well and is now an EMT during this indoc.

My DD and i have been remembering back 4 years ago when the journey was just beginning.....Now, continuing on our 'Road Trip' to first Duty station US Navy in California....never dreamed from June 22 to July 20 driving from 'sea to shining sea'.

Appreciating what is behind (USMMA) and moving into the future (USN).

Sea Faring Moose Mom, congrats and good luck on the next phase for you both. Please come back and check in on us newbie parents from time to time. Your experience and point of view are welcomed. And as far driving across the country interstate 70 lasts for freaking ever! Take a snack. And if the old uhaul dies on the continental divide, unscrew the gas cap,,,Vapor Lock! Been there done that! I realize I prolly just gave mechanical advice to an engineer but,,,,,,::redface: for what it is worth there is not a more beautiful place to have break down this time of year, mechanical or otherwise.
