Monday I received an email from Senator Warner stating that he nominated me for USMMA. And a few days before that, received a letter from Congressman Rigell (VA-02) who nominated me to both USNA and USMMA.

Congrats!

I just got an email from Warner saying that I was not nominated to West Point.
I also did not receive any word from Kaine as of last week - so I'm assuming that I didn't get nominated from him either.

Sigh... I guess I just need to wait on Comstock (VA-10) to release her decision :(

Hang in there.

When is Comstock going to release her decisions? Anyone have any idea? Asking for a friend bc I live in FL lol

Word is Comstock will send notifications by next week. Not definite though.

DS received nomination from Brat (VA 7th) by snail mail Thursday, no from Warner by email Friday, and no from Kaine by snail mail Saturday.

DD got nomination from Connolly today for USNA. Had gotten an LOA back at the end of November. Did not get the Kaine or Warner noms last week. As I understand it, in the more competitive states, many of the MOC(Senate & House) coordinate so as to not double nominate their candidates so they can get as many into the SA as possible.

Friend of mine whose daughter did not get either Senator or congressman noms ended up getting an appointment from the VP. She graduated a couple years ago. As I understand it, if they want you enough to offer you an appointment they can often find a nom source for you.

Good luck all!

For VA-11, my #3 received notification from Connolly today.

Padre101--he got notified but he did not get a nomination--but he did not need one. You know, the academies push the kids to apply to all possible sources. Unfortunately for him, he has an SDVET. There is no silver lining to a dead father even if it means having a nomination to all three service academies. It would have been better if #3 had not experienced such a huge interruption in his life prior to and during his 9th grade year; repatriate to the US, no car, no house, no plan for school--an unemployed mom. Those were pretty miserable days all around.

Dr. Mom, our heart goes you and your family. I hope and pray that #3 finds strength and hope as he starts a new chapter in his life.

I'm hearing within the next three days via snail mail.
Son received nom from Connolly yesterday for USMA. He's hanging in there and waiting. Plan B is a great one. He has a 4 year ROTC scholarship.
Good luck to everyone.
