She has really gotten a lot out of AIM, connected with the student leaders and the fellow Aimsters. I think this solidified her desire to attend USCGA. So good luck to weeks 2 and 3!
Is the interview "practice" or the real deal? The way it is worded in the email suggests it is intended to be used as part of their admissions package. Perhaps I interpreted it the wrong way.The times have been generally the same. I think the biggest benefit has been my daughter’s being able to meet current and future cadets. It gave her a feel as to whether they were kids she could hang with. She enjoyed the presentations about the summer excursions and the career day. The opportunity to talk to the track coach was nice. There is a chance to practice your interview, which was great too. The first day was not representative of the rest of the week...it gets better from there!

We have run biomedical engineering type capstone projects the last three years within mechanical due to student interest. There is one biomedical/mechanical engineering faculty member (Prof. Adrezin) on the mechanical faculty. On a separate note, those interested in Environmental Engineering often work with Dean Zelmanowitz or CDR Fleischmann. As always, their contact info is on uscga.edu. Edit: I recommend reaching out by email. People rarely access their voicemails.Very cool video @CGAprof. My DD is interested in the "bio" side of mechanical engineering so I'm thinking she will eat that up during session 3. Was session 2 the same times as reported in another thread of 11-1230 and 4-530? DD trying to plan her summer nanny duties.
