Visit NAPS

We will be at USCGA at the end of April for their Scholarship Experience event. I am currently wondering where we should take the opportunity to visit NAPS whilst we are in the area as it seems likely that is where my DS will be assigned.
Are there any tours available, is there anything to see? Recommendations?

NAPS is only a couple of buildings at Naval Station Newport. I don’t think there is anything to see and it is not open to general public. If you have DOD CAC you can have access. If not once your child is admitted you complete some paperwork and get clearance and they will put your name on a list for big dates and if you want access for other dates they can put your name on the list. (This is how it was set up last year) Newport is a great town to visit in general. You could just get familiar with the area.
