Visiting USAFA

My DS got a call on Sunday that he received an appointment to the academy. No further information has been emailed or posted in his portal. We would like to schedule a visit since we have never been, but I don't know if there is an Accepted Students Day like traditional universities or we can go anytime. Has anyone gotten any information after being appointed that can let me know if there are scheduled days to go? TIA

I think I’ve read on one of these posts that there are visits for accepted students. Two different dates in April I believe. Info should come when the portal updates.

We are waiting also. My DS got the call from the MOC last Thursday, but didn't get to speak with him until Saturday. Someone else on here told me April 19th & April 26th. I would really like to make some reservations!

USAFA will provide information regarding appointee visit days. They won't forget about you. Congrats, relax and give them a chance It is a pretty busy time for admissions.

I'm not worried , but we are coming from DE and I would like to book as soon as possible for a better price and before hotels fill up. I was just hoping for the dates so I can get that done!

DS received this e-mail on Friday. He received his appointment back in Jan.

"Congratulations on receiving an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy! You are invited to the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) Class of 2023 Appointee Events. The available Appointee Tour dates at the USAFA campus are 19 April 2019 and 26 April 2019. We will also host online webinars which will be available to all appointees with no registration required".

I would assume as a new appointee you would get the invitation in the very near future.
